SEP 2014 – Initial Development of the Foundation, its vision, potential projects, and organization construct. 

OCT 2014 – Foundation established as a non-profit organization in Iowa City, Iowa.

our history

I have always believed the saying that we must remember our past to understand how we got to where we are today and to understand how to better navigate the future.  The Robert Lucas Foundation is being formed to put that belief into action so that future generations, like those of my son, are able to understand exactly what those before him did to great our great democratic republic - The United States of America.

I am honored and feel fortunate that my family has a long history in the United States dating back to the days of Plymouth Colony and the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the early 1600's.  I am also honored and feel fortunate for my families ties to the history of State of Iowa dating back to its first days as a new territory with Robert Lucas as its first Territorial Governor.
