1840 Congressional Report
Pictured above is the front page of a printing by the 1st Session of the 26th Congress of the United States containing the documents submitted to Congress by President Martin Van Buren on 12 February 1840 related to the boundary dispute between Iowa and Missouri. The printing contains the correspondence from Governor Robert Lucas, Territorial Governor of Iowa, to the State Department. The original document is in the private collection of Governor Lucas' fourth great grandson. Photo taken 10 October 2014 by Raymond V. Sumner.
